BYE BYE BIRDIE is one of the most captivating musical shows of our time. It is a satire done with the fondest affection, and tells the story of a rock and roll singer who is about to be inducted into the army. An English Teacher, What Did I Ever See in Him?, Put on a Happy Face, One Boy, A Lot of Livin’ to Do, Kids, Rosie and Spanish Rose are musical theatre classics. This is the tops in imagination and good old fashion fun.

So, what if we could raise money for our favorite charities and schools by doing something we do every day — searching the Internet?

That’s the question Ken Ramberg (the former founder of JOBTRAK, now a division of Monster.com) and JJ Ramberg (an MSNBC anchor and the former Director of Marketing at Cooking.com) asked themselves a few years ago. After realizing what a fraction of the $8 billion generated annually by search engine advertisers could do if it were directed towards organizations trying to make the world a better place, they launched GoodSearch in 2005.

GoodSearch is a search engine which donates 50 percent of its sponsored search revenue to the charities and schools designated by its users. You use GoodSearch exactly as you would any other search engine. Because it’s powered by Yahoo!, you get proven search results. The money GoodSearch donates to your cause comes from its advertisers — the users and the organizations do not spend a dime!

Click here to Choose the GoodSearch option that works best for you!

In 2007, GoodSearch was expanded to include GoodShop, an online shopping mall of world-class merchants dedicated to helping fund worthy causes across the country. Each purchase made via the GoodShop mall results in a donation to the user’s designated charity or school – averaging approximately 3% of the sale, but going up to 20% or even more.

In 2011, GoodSearch expanded further to include GoodDining. The first ever, national 365-day-a-year dine out for charity program. With GoodDining, our users can eat in or take out at 10,000 restaurants nationwide and earn up to 6% donations for their favorite charity or school.

Ken and JJ wanted to create a means to support charities so that people would say, “Why wouldn’t you do it?” That’s what GoodSearch does. Since it doesn’t cost anything and you get proven search results, there’s no reason not to use it!

GoodSearch is dedicated to Ken and JJ’s mother, who passed away from cancer and who taught them both that by working together with dogged dedication, we can really make this world a better place.

Hilarity abounds in this portrait of three couples successively occupying a suite at the Plaza. A suburban couple take the suite while their house is being painted and it turns out to be the one in which they honeymooned 23 (or was it 24?) years before and was yesterday the anniversary, or is it today? This wry tale of marriage in tatters is followed by the exploits of a Hollywood producer who, after three marriages, is looking for fresh fields. He calls a childhood sweetheart, now a suburban housewife, for a little sexual diversion. Over the years she has idolized him from afar and is now more than the match he bargained for. The last couple is a mother and father fighting about the best way to get their daughter out of the bathroom and down to the ballroom where guests await her or as Mother yells, “I want you to come out of that bathroom and get married!”

“Wonderfully funny…The blockbuster is the wildest and most uproarious farce I have seen on a stage.”-New York Daily News

“A wonderfully happy and gratifying evening of sheer entertainment… Richly funny.” -New York Post

Characters:

Karen Nash – 48 years old and fine with it. A pleasant and affable woman, Karen has allowed herself to look middle aged because she knows she is middle aged. She is witty, and down to earth. She is also secretly hoping the visit at the suite will bring her and her husband closer together. (It is their Anniversary, she thinks)

Sam Nash – 50 years old but can not come to terms with it. He is trim, incredibly neat and well tailored. Sam needs to know he looks good, and also that others know he looks good. He goes to great strides to keep the years at bay, with exercise and a meticulous diet. Sam is a workaholic, but not just because he likes to work.

Jean Mc Cormack – Sam’s secretary and highly efficient. She is well groomed, attractive, and bright and cheerful at 28 years of age. She is also Sam’s mistress.

Bellhop – Younger man, eager to please and will visit as long as he needs to get his tip.

Jesse Kiplinger – A confident 40 year old Hollywood producer who has made his success but still feels his life is missing the kind of relationship he had in his teens with Muriel. He has one purpose in seeing Muriel.

Muriel Tate – In her late 30’s, very attractive and still seems somewhat naïve. She is warm, and generous, and very impressed with Jesse. She is unsure of meeting with him, and yet can’t seem to make a decision to stay or go. She claims to be happily married.

Norma Hubley – Dressed as mother of the bride and trying to appear calm in a crisis with every one EXCEPT her husband. Married to a Type A personality, she sways from trying to keep him in calm and in control while passively and aggressively taking a stand for herself. Late 40′s, early 50′s.

Roy Hubley – The father of the bride with the bills to prove it. A competitive business man, out of his league when dealing with emotions and marrying off his daughter. Late 40′s, early 50′s.

Borden Eisler – The young confident groom, a man of few words. (Literally)

Mimsey Hubley – A nervous bride, afraid of having her marriage turn out like her parents’ marriage.

Waiters- Two are needed in the play. Open to anyone regardless of age/appearance.
