Prep age 13-19

da Vinci Prep is a middle to high school level class, emphasizing the vocal, physical, improvisation and performance skills required for traditional spoken drama or musical theatre production. This class expands on the skills learned in da Vinci Kids, focusing on audition and rehearsal skills, and culminating in a production of a musical.

Wednesdays: 4-5:30 pm and Saturdays: 11 am-12:30 pm

To reserve your child a space, we require a $50 non-refundable deposit.  If you complete the class enrollment, your $50 reservation fee is applied to tuition.

About the Instructors:

Robert Encila* is a certified master teacher of over 20 years, and a prolific actor, singer and director.  Robert has appeared in many local productions with the Borderlands Theater, and Arizona Theater Company.  His most recent national credits include performances at the historic Players’ Club and Birdland Jazz Club in New York City; he also Directed our recent productions of Inherit the Wind, Odd Couple, Man of La Mancha and Once Upon A Mattress.

Samantha Cormier earned her BFA in Theatre from the University of Arizona. She has performed in, choreographed, designed and directed over 40 productions. She is an instructor for Youth Theatre at Studio Connections and Live Theatre Workshop. She was the resident choreographer for Redondo Music Theatre. Favorite shows directed include You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Once On This Island, A Year With Frog and Toad, Godspell, Jr., and The Wizard of Oz.
